On 17 till 20 October 2022, the 48th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IECON 2022) took place at the Square Brussels Meeting Centre in Brussels (Belgium). The conference was hosted by Vrije Universiteit Brusssel (VUB). Partner MGEP participated in the conference.
IECON 2022 is the 48th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), focusing on contemporary industry topics ranging from electronics, controls, manufacturing, to communications and computational intelligence. IECON is the flagship annual conference of IES. It aims to create a forum for scientists and practicing engineers throughout the world to present the latest research findings and ideas in the areas of Industrial Electronics, and possible contributions toward sustainable development and environment preservation.
During the conference, MGEP presented an article, which comes from some preliminary results obtained in the iSTORMY project. David Cabezuelo (MGEP) has participated on behalf of the rest of the partners (VUB, AIT, EDF) and exhibited in an oral presentation the proposed interoperable EMS functionalities for HESS and modular PE converter topologies. The project has attracted a high level of interest from the audience and its contributions to existing technology have been highlighted.
The conference was attended by more than a thousand people from organisations (industry, research centres and universities) from all over the world, including the Competence Centre on Foresight of the European Commission, the FEV Europe GmbH and the European Committee for Future Accelerators.
